The first tasks objectives were to incorporate and compose these two shots around the campus area. We started of by capturing a moving panning shot, our idea was to capture two people walking across the hall, one from the left, and one from the right crossing to the other side, after the first person crossed the second was to walk across as well.
This was followed by the tilt shot, for this we attempted 2 variations; a singular target and 2 people conjoined. For the singular variation we had the person facing the camera, for the second however we composed it with the backs facing the camera , for a unique approach.
After taking these shots we were introduced to the Jib shot in which the tripod is needed for an orientated shot. The jib shot is a slight lean in the cameras positioning, it is done by directing the back leg of the tripod lower than the other 2. This shot creates a zoom or tilt effect on the focused object for example. We didn't get to try this, however, we learned how to set the tripod up correctly.
Toward the end of the lesson we caught a glimpse of the editing software, Adobe Premier-cs6 which will be used for editing and such.
