Photoshop week 3

Fonts

These are some of  my font examples for the advert I'll be making. I tried picking out the fonts which appealed most modern/urban. The label I'll be designing is for a suit, so it was clear to me that I had to use colours which would represent my product the most. Therefore I used the white and black colour schemes: white like the shirt, and black like the blazer. Furthermore the white and black colour combination creates a bold effect, which is even more appealing to the advert I'll be making.

For the second task, i had to produce a label for the advert i will be making. It was particularity difficult, as it was unique to the class, and our group was the only one who had to produce a suit label.   In the end i came up with something like this.

Although i do think it does not represent my skills to the best of my ability. During the lesson i was mostly trying to figure out what i going to produce in the end. I tried looking at some labels from the bigger companies in search for inspiration. However, even then i couldn't quite picture this advert in my head, which i found strange knowing that my hobby was drawing. Even before starting to draw a character for example, I always picture the overall outcome in my head. In the end, our group decided to use one of our member's label, as his label was the clear winner out of all of our attempts.

  1. Oskar you have made a good start with Photoshop, keep trying out new techniques and pushing your self to learn more about the software.

If you are having trouble with a task in class don't be shy and get me to help you

Make sure you put as much professional terminology and knowledge about effects and keyboard shortcuts in your annotation (like you did with week your annotation from week 1)

Overall a good start with what you have on the blog, but you need to upload your final magazine advert with evaluation (guidance is on Moodle)
